Abbie came to the shelter as a relinquishment as her owners are no longer able to care for her. She is a mature spayed female Golden Retriever/ Lab mix around 7 years old. Abbie has a lovely black swirled coat, retriever style, and is alert and attentive to all that goes on around her. She was reported to be good with children and other dogs by her previous owner but her behavior around cats is unknown. She enjoys playing, treats and toys and apparently likes to go for a ride in the car. Abbie is a gentle soul, good on lead and willing to work with humans. She is a little shy but with kindness and care has become more open and accepting. Abbie does well in her kennel and was reported to be house-trained.
